On Efterskolernes dag - the nationwide Open House for Efterskoler all over Denmark - we offer a glimpse of the academic experience, a fully guided tour of our facilities and living quarters as well as a taste of all that Campus Vedersø has to offer.

The International is part of Campus Vedersø. We share facilities with our Danish sister sports school Vedersø Idrætsefterskole.
There is a full programme of Campus Events and activities that are arranged for both schools, so that students can mix and mingle with each other every week. This offers further opportunities to learn about Danish Efterskole traditions and for Danish students to meet international students from all around the world.

CAMBRIDGE IGCSE
Internationally recognised academic curriculUm and exams
At The International - Danmarks Internationale Efterskole, we offer Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) for students 14-17 years old. The curriculum varies within each subject, but is generally equivalent to 10th grade studies in Denmark.
We offer 8 different academic subjects at a high academic level, preparing students for further education, which is taught in English.
In addition, you may tailor your timetable to suit your passions, hobbies or your desire to try something new from one of our 6 Profile Electives, which take place up to four times per week, or from our wide range of sports, creative and cultural electives which take place once per week and rotate throughout the year.

The International - Danmarks Internationale efterskole is a place where you can truly meet your world. If you do not choose to continue studying a language, you have the opportunity to take our unique TI-Project class instead. This project class is not part of the Cambridge IGCSE currriculum or examinations. It involves a mix of different international projects, events and activities that are planned by the class throughout the year to enhance the overall academic programme and intercultural studies.

All students must choose either Cambridge Combined Science or Cambridge Enterprise, together with the other core subjects including one Language or TI-Project. These choice elements help students choose their academic focus for the year.

Many times a year we host an Open House event when we open our doors to visitors. The concept is similar to Efterskolernes dag but it is a more intimate experience with less visitors and a bit more time to talk with our team. Booking is essential for Open House events. Perhaps you are in Denmark for work or holiday? If you have the opportunity to visit The International in West Jutland during your stay in Denmark then get in touch. We are always happy to take private show rounds whenever we have availability. - VIRTUAL SHOW ROUND & MEETING
With students enquiring from all over the world, it is only natural that many of our show rounds take place online. We have welcomed many prospective families and students in this way and it offers a great opportunity to see the school, talk with our team, discuss your requirements and answer your questions. Just like our physical show rounds, the virtual tour will be led by one of our students so that you can see the facilities. This will be followed by a talk with one of our teaching staff. To set up a virtual tour and meeting, please contact us on info@theinternational.dk to book a time. We use the online platform Microsoft Teams for these meetings.
